Lions Add Talented Fullback to Offensive Backfield

The Columbus Lions organization and fullback JeR'yl Christian have agreed to terms for the 2019 NAL season. The move adds more talent to an already loaded offensive roster.

JeR'yl Christian (6'2, 280 - Kentucky Christian University) come to Columbus after a highly successful stint in the CIF with the Amarillo Venom, and looks forward to proving his game transitions to the higher competition level. Over a two year period with the Venom, Christian accounted for 40 total touchdowns in 33 games played, including over 700 yards rushing and 33 touchdowns. Christian also showed he was equally dangerous through the air, accounting for 208 yards receiving with 7 receiving touchdowns. Christian was also able to show some versatility by contributing on defense as a Defensive Lineman/Linebacker to the tune of 13 TFLs, 2 sacks, and 2 fumble recoveries.

Christian's precursor to his professional success was his collegiate career. At Kentucky Christian University, JeR'yl starred by earning two consecutive USA Football All-American 1st team nods in 2013 and 2014 as a Defensive Lineman. For his career, Christian finished with 191 tackles, 60 tackles-for-loss, and 13.5 sacks.
