Lineman Pierre Colin Assigned to Renegades

LUBBOCK, TX: February 19, 2007 - The inaugural Lubbock Renegades of the arenafootball2 (af2) announce that defensive / offensive lineman Pierre "Pepe" Colin has been assigned to the club for the 2007 season.

Colin comes to Lubbock after attempting his first af2 season last year with the Hidalgo, Texas based Rio Grande Valley Dorados. The Cooper City, Florida native was with the Dorados, but he suffered a long-term injury and was later reassigned and did not see any action. Prior to turning pro, the 6'5" 260 pound lineman spent four seasons at Saginaw Valley St. (2001 - 2004) serving on the defensive line for the Division II program. Colin, 23, combined for 82 tackles while at Saginaw Valley, and claimed the team's Defensive Lineman of the Year honor in 2004. He earned a degree in Exercise Science.

The Renegades kick off their inaugural campaign April 6th on the road in Amarillo. Their home opener is scheduled for a 3 PM kickoff on Sunday, April 15th at City Bank Coliseum against the Arkansas Twisters.
