Chicago Rush News Release

March 4, 2003 – Chicago Rush WR/LB Lindsay Fleshman was named this week's AFL Ironman of the Week, the Arena Football League announced today.

Fleshman, who missed the first three weeks of the season with a broken hand, has provided a much-needed spark since returning from Injured Reserve. In Chicago's 40-13 win at Buffalo Saturday, Fleshman caught five passes for 43 yards and one touchdown, while recording 3.5 tackles and an interception on defense.

"Flesh definitely has given us a boost now that he is back in the lineup," said Rush head coach Mike Hohensee. "He plays well in all aspects of the game – offense, defense and special teams – as well as providing us with another leader on the field.

This week the Rush (2-3) returns home to take on the defending ArenaBowl champion San Jose SaberCats (3-2) Sunday, March 9, at 5 p.m. The game will not be broadcast on television in Chicago, but fans unable to make it to Allstate Arena can follow all the game on radio, as Tom Dore and John Jurkovic call all the action on ESPN Radio 1000.

Fans wishing to purchase individual game tickets to the San Jose game, or any Rush regular season home game, may order by calling Ticketmaster at (312) 559-1212 or by visiting the Ticketmaster Web site at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets also may be purchased in person at any Ticketmaster outlet or the Allstate Arena box office.
