Lincoln Thunder News Release

The Lincoln Generals won their first-ever game in summer league competition Monday, beating the Topeka Tornados 94-80 at the AAPBL Summer League in Billings, Mont.

"We just jumped on them real early. We've got a team full of athletic ability and we had a great first quarter," said Generals head coach Mark Berokoff.

Lincoln outscored Topeka 28-13 in the first quarter, and Topeka never recovered, despite scoring 32 points in the second quarter alone. Lincoln shot just less than 48 percent from the field during the game. Terris Sefford led the team, shooting 7-for-8 in field goals, scoring 16 points.

"Well, I just want to take it one step at a time," Sefford said. "I was able to get in the flow of things really good yesterday." Aderick Hills shot 7-for-16 from the field and 15 points. David Finklea shot 3-for-5 from the charity stripe and 5-for-8 from the field for his 13 points.

Hills and Kameron Gray registered four steals apiece to lead the squad. Majestic Mapp led Topeka offensively with 20 points.
