
Lincoln Generals announce partnership with Cornhusker State Games

April 28, 2005, (LINCOLN, NE) - The Lincoln Generals of the All American Professional Basketball League are proud to announce a new partnership established with the organizing committee of the 2005 Cornhusker State Games. The Lincoln Generals, Lincoln's entry in the new All American Professional Basketball League, are set to begin their inaugural season in November and will serve as a sponsor for this year's Cornhusker State Games, which are scheduled to take place July 9th through the 17th.
The purpose of the joint venture with the Cornhusker State Games is to promote both organizations within the Lincoln community. "We are extremely excited to partner with the Cornhusker State Games," said Matt Starr, VP of Marketing and Sales for the Lincoln Generals, "the games attract thousands of athletes from all over the state, and we believe this is a great opportunity to create exposure for the Generals within Lincoln and the great state of Nebraska." The organizers of the State Games also feel enthused about joining hands with the Lincoln Generals, "We believe this is just the beginning of a great relationship!" according to Dave Mlnarik, Executive Director of the Cornhusker State Games' organizing committee.
In addition to participating in all the festivities leading up to the State Games, the Lincoln Generals will serve as the title sponsor for the 2005 Cornhusker State Games Dodgeball Tournament, which will take place July 16th and 17th.
