Lincoln NE - - College football concluded last week, but residents of Lincoln do not have to wait for fall to get their annual fix. The Lincoln Capitols of the National Indoor Football League held open tryouts this past weekend, and the team is starting to take shape.
Coach Pat Schaben was really pleased by the fact that fourteen weekend warriors showed up and the athleticism they displayed. The great thing about the Capitols is some people who tried out were standouts in high school and others from the University of Nebraska, Peru State, and Hastings.
Lincoln Capitols Announce 2005 Schedule
Lincoln Ne - -The Lincoln Capitols, member of the National Indoor Football League (NIFL), has just received the 2005 schedule. The Caps have a 14 game schedule with 7 home games and 7 road games. The Capitols have been placed in the Pacific Conference West with Billings, Everett, Tri-Cities, and Wyoming. The Capitols will open with 4 home games and will end the 2005 regular season with 4 road games. The full schedule is listed below:
