Joliet Slammers News Release
(Joliet, IL) - The Joliet Slammers Presented By ATI Physical Therapy announced Monday a fun Facebook promotion for fans who have always dreamed of broadcasting a baseball game on the radio. If the Slammers reach 5,500 likes on Facebook by the end of January, one lucky fan will get to join Director of Broadcasting & Media Relations Aaron Morse on AM 1340 WJOL for a selected home game during the 2013 baseball season.
"We are always looking for ways to engage our fans and what better way than to have one of them be a broadcaster for a day during the season," Morse said. "I am confident we'll reach our goal of 5,500 likes by the end of the month and I look forward to calling a game with one of our fans this summer."
Fans can help the Slammers reach 5,500 likes by sharing the team's Facebook page with their friends. All you have to do is update your status on Facebook encouraging your Facebook friends to like the page and include the link ( www.facebook.com/jolietslammers ) in your status. The team currently sits at 5,112 likes.
Liking the Slammers on Facebook is a great way to stay up-to-date on all the fun promotions the team is planning and it's also the only way to be eligible for unique fan experiences like this one!
To purchase full season tickets, mini plans and group outings, stop by the Slammers Box Office during regular business hours (Monday-Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.) or call (815) 722-2287.
