Las Vegas Lights FC News Release
LAS VEGAS - Always looking to push the boundaries on soccer traditions, Las Vegas Lights Football Club is now putting a new twist on a popular piece of fan attire - the soccer scarf.
Before Saturday's 8 p.m. match at Cashman Field against top USL Western Conference outfit Real Monarchs SLC, the club will unveil to fans the World's Largest Soccer Scarf.
Measuring at dimensions unknown, the scarf will be on display at the Zappos Tailgate Saturday night, starting at 5:30 p.m. Fans at the tailgate will also be able to sign the scarf, which will then be hung prominently above the Supporters Section for each Lights FC home match in 2018. Another unique opportunity to sign the scarf will come after Saturday's match, as fans can come do so on the pitch at Cashman Field.
Before the scarf makes its public debut on Saturday, local media are welcome to see the scarf and sign it themselves, alongside the entire Lights FC roster, on Friday morning, following the team's 9 a.m. training session at Cashman Field.
Following Wednesday's 4-2 U.S. Open Cup second round victory over FC Tucson, Lights FC heads into Saturday night's action with a full head of steam against Real Monarchs SLC, who currently sits in first place on the Western Conference table. Tickets for Saturday night's match are available, starting at just $15, at LightsFC.com/SingleTix.
