Lights FC continued its four-game homestand by taking on New Mexico United on Independence Day.

The visiting side opened the score with a counterattack after stealing the ball at midfield and taking advantage of going 4 against 3 on attack, with Santi Moar serving El Salvador National Team member Amando Moreno to put the ball in the back of the net in the 13th minute.

Las Vegas was able to level the score late in the first half after a shot from Andrew Carleton was blocked by goalkeeper Alexandros Tambakis, but he wasn't able to keep ball and it ended up landing in front of "Pato" Botello Faz who took advantage of the opportunity in the 44th minute.

New Mexico didn't take long to respond. In the first minute of added time a strike from Moreno landed in front of Daniel Bruce, who gave his team the advantage once again.

Lights FC was aggressive in the second half, registering 11 shots (including 5 on target), with the final one being the game tying goal courtesy of Vegas native Azriel Gonzalez in the dying moments of the match.

With the 2-2 tie, Lights FC snapped a five-game losing streak.
