(LONDON, Ontario) - Saturday night, in front of 4,684 fans at Budweiser Gardens, the London Lightning defeated the Windsor Express, 107-85.
The Lightning now stand at 11-6.
"We came out focused and we followed the game plan tonight", said Head Coach Carlos Knox. "We played a hard-nosed game on the defensive end and that was the difference maker in this game."
John Hart led all scorers with 25 points and seven rebounds.
"Tonight we came out hard and played together. We knew what we had to get done and we did it," said Hart.
Marvin Phillips scored a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds.
The Lightning play two home games next weekend. The team plays the Halifax Rainmen on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. and the Saint John Mill Rats on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
Next weekend also marks the Annual Charity Roundball Tournament featuring eight local high schools. Tickets are selling quickly and fans are encouraged to buy tickets early through the Budweiser Gardens Box Office.
