Of newcomer Akeem Wright, Coach Julius said, "He's a tremendous player, he's a veteran, he's mature, he knows how to play, and you can tell because he made something out of nothing."
"I think tonight I was a little bit sharper, I think with four days of practice and looking at film and reading the playbook, I was a little sharper today," said Wright of his play. "I love the atmosphere here, this is one of the reasons why I wanted to come here."
Nick Okorie and Garrett Williamson split the duty of dishing the ball, leading the team with 6 assists each.
The London Lightning head out on a three-game road trip, starting with the Orangeville A's on Saturday night, the Niagara River Lions Wednesday and the Windsor Express Friday night . The Bolts will be back at Budweiser Gardens Saturday to face the Orangeville A's. The team will be wearing custom camo printed jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game with all proceeds going to the St Joseph's Health Care Foundation's Fund for Parkwood Veteran's Hospital
