Inland Empire 66ers News Release
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The homecoming party at Arrowhead Credit Union Park was cut short Tuesday night, as the game was suspended due to electrical problems after two innings of play.
Tuesday's suspended game will continue where it left off, with the 66ers trailing 3-1 at the start of the 3rd inning, at 4 p.m. Wednesday as part of a doubleheader. The second game, to start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game, will be seven innings in duration.
The light towers on the third base side of the ballpark were unable to be turned on Tuesday night, a possible result of a lightning storm in the area late last week. This became an issue as the sun faded into night and umpires decided to suspend play until the lights could be turned on. After an hour-long delay, the game was officially suspended until Wednesday evening.
Fans with tickets to Tuesday night's suspended game have the following options:
1. Return the ticket stub to the 66ers box office in exchange for either game of Wednesday's doubleheader.
2. Exchange Tuesday's ticket for a future 66ers home game (excluding July 4).
Fans that attend the 4 p.m. game on Wednesday will be able to stick around for game two of the doubleheader at 7:05 p.m. for no extra charge. For more information about ticket exchange options, visit the 66ers box office at 280 South E Street in San Bernardino, or call (909) 888-9922.
