FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Fort Myers Miracle ran their season high winning streak to five with an 11-6 win over the Lakeland Flying Tigers on Friday night at Hammond Stadium.

Down 4-0 in the fourth, the Miracle bats came to life. With two on and no one out, Alex Kirilloff got the Miracle on the board with a double to right-center. After a Travis Blankenhorn walk, Ben Rortvedt cut the deficit in half with a single to left. A Shane Carrier sacrifice fly pulled the Miracle to 4-3. Brandon Lopez followed with a walk before Aaron Whitefield tied the game with a sacrifice fly. That brought Royce Lewis to the plate with two on and two out. And the Miracle shortstop delivered, belting a towering three-run home run to left to cap off the seven run frame and give Fort Myers a 7-4 lead.

In the fifth, the Miracle added four more runs. Rortvedt knocked in his second run of the night with a single to right before a wild pitch pushed the lead to 9-4. Later in the inning, Lewis delivered a two-out two-run single to make it 11-4.

Lakeland scored single runs in the eighth and ninth to finish the game's scoring.

Lewis finished 2-5 with five RBI while Rortvedt went 2-4 with two RBI.

Brusdar Graterol (1-2) earned his first win in a Miracle uniform after allowing four runs in six innings of work. The right-hander walked three and struck out seven. Colton Davis relieved the 19-year old and tossed two innings. He allowed an unearned run before Alex Robinson entered. The southpaw allowed a run in an inning of work.

Lakeland starter Franklin Perez (0-1) suffered his first loss of the season. He allowed six runs across 3.2 innings. The Lakeland bullpen surrendered five runs in 4.1 innings of work.

The Miracle will play as the Fort Myers Groupers on Saturday as they go for the three-game sweep. The one-game name change pays homage to Southwest Florida's favorite fish. First pitch is at 6:00 p.m.
