After a long offseason, today marks the opening of what will be a great year of CFL football and I couldn't be more excited about starting the season as Head Coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

This season is special for all Bomber fans because not only is it a brand new season with new expectations, but we are also very honoured to be celebrating 80 years of our football club. It is a proud time to be a fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as we look back and honour the many great players and coaches who have been apart of such a storied franchise. As ten-time Grey Cup champions, we hope to be able to continue that winning tradition for years to come.

As a coaching staff, we are very excited about the upcoming season. With camp about to open, we're confident that we have addressed all our needs and are looking forward to letting the players battle it out for a spot on our roster.

I would like to personally thank every one of you who has already thrown your support behind our team. In 2010, fans can expect to see a team that competes right up until the final whistle and as coaches; we will do our best to ensure that we're putting the best product on the field in order to give us every chance to win the game.

On behalf of the entire organization, we thank you for your support and are looking forward to seeing you in the stands to cheer on your Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2010.
