
Legion FC Sets Open Tryout for 2020 Season

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Birmingham Legion FC will hold an open tryout for the 2020 USL Championship season on Thursday, December 5 at Birmingham SportsBlast Soccer Complex, followed by an invite-only combine Friday, December 6 and Saturday, December 7, downtown at BBVA Field, the home of Legion FC.
For the second year in a row, area talents will have the opportunity to showcase their skills alongside professional players and in front of club coaches and technical staff.
The tryout is open to players 17 years and older. Participants will be responsible for all travel costs, hotel accommodations, food and transportation. Legion FC will not be able to provide help with visas or letters of invitation.
Thursday's tryout will be open to the general public for viewing, while Friday and Saturday's combine will be closed. All participants will be vying for an opportunity to be invited to the club's January training camp. Ahead of the 2019 inaugural season, Legion FC midfielder Marcos Ugarte caught the coaching staff's collective eye and earned a spot in the squad after a standout showing in the combine.

All registrants should bring a photo I.D., the registration form, cleats, shin guards (required), black shorts and white socks. Participants will receive a Legion FC Nike dri-fit shirt upon signing in. Participants must register prior to November 11 to guarantee shirt size.
