Legends Host Frisco ISD Night, Presented by Letourneau

FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends are partnering with LeTourneau University to host Frisco ISD night on Jan. 31.

Frisco ISD night will shine a spotlight on the district's top students, with all performances throughout the night being Frisco ISD groups. The night will also serve as a fundraiser for the Frisco Education Foundation with a special link to tickets for all FISD students and families. The link features $5 tickets with all funds going to FEF.

"We are thrilled to celebrate the district and the Frisco Education Foundation," said Legends President/General Manager Malcolm Farmer. "These organizations are preparing our students to excel in their future paths and as leaders. They create opportunities and we are proud to partner with them in doing so."

The Frisco Education Foundation focuses on maximizing the potential of local students by donating scholarships, investing in educational programs and funding grants for FISD educators. In the past 20 years, the foundation has awarded more than $7.2 million in scholarships and over $952,000 in educator grants.

LeTourneau is a Christian university in Longview, Texas. Founded in 1946 as LeTourneau Technical Institute and later LeTourneau College, the school became an accredited university in 1989, offering four-year and two-year degree programs across eight schools.

"LeTourneau has a beautiful campus east of us," said Farmer. "Just as important, however, is their online options and uniquely designed programming for those in different stages of life, looking to better themselves and further their education. Partnering with both FISD and LeTourneau gives us the opportunity to spotlight two organizations who are creating a brighter future for us one student at a time."

As the team takes on the Northern Arizona Suns this Friday, they will suit up in custom jerseys representing both LeTourneau and Frisco Education Foundation. This will be the third matchup of the two teams with Texas leading the series 2-0. For tickets or information call 214-469-0822.
