
Lawton-Fort Sill Cavalry Go to the Capital

LAWTON, OKLA- The 2008 CBA Champions, Lawton-Fort Sill Cavalry, will be honored by Governor Brad Henry at the state capital tomorrow afternoon.
Cavalry players, coaches and owners will make the trip to meet Gov. Henry in the blue room at the Capital building. Gov. Henry will share a few words, take a picture with the team, and read a proclamation congratulating the Cavalry on their accomplishments.
The Cavs victory celebrations will continue on Friday. At 1:30 p.m., Mayor Purcell and County Commissioner Ron Kirby will honor the team with keys to the city at the South entry of the Comanche County Courthouse. A victory party open to the public will start at 8:00 p.m. at the Great Plains Coliseum located at 920 S. Sheridan. There will be a short presentation, music and dancing.
