April 2, 2014 - Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL)
Dodge City Law News Release
Dodge City Law linebacker Jercorey Quarterman has been named CPIFL Defensive Player of the Week for his play against the Salina Bombers on Saturday, March 29.
Against Salina, Quarterman made five solo tackles, assisted on two others, and registered a sack.
Quarterman deflected attention from himself when he heard that he had been selected for the award.
"I am glad that I could make a contribution and be a part of my team's victory against Salina," Quarterman said. "It feels good to be named Defensive Player of the Week, but our win was a team effort."
Law Head Coach Sean Ponder said that Quarterman played a vital role in his team's victory against Salina.
"Jercorey played a good game Saturday and he helped to keep the defense energized, which was crucial," Ponder said. "His sack helped to fire up our crowd and his teammates. I am confident that he can have many more games like the one he had on Saturday if he stays focused and keeps working hard."
