
Law & Amigo Broadcasting Partner Up

LAREDO, Texas â The Laredo Law and Amigo Broadcasting have announced that 94.9 The New Qure FM, 80's, 90's and now will serve as the flagship radio station for the new arenafootball2 team. The agreement runs thru the completion of the 2006 af2 season. The Law 2004 af2 season begins April 3rd, with the home opener set for April 23rd at the LEC. Amigo Broadcasting currently works with the Laredo Bucks and carries every hockey game home and away live on 94.9 The New Qure FM.
"94.9 has a wonderful signal," said Law/President John Beckelhymer. "Working with Amigo we will be able to reach people in a radius of 100 miles around both Laredos. We are excited to continue working with Amigo Broadcasting now on a year round basis and into the future."
The agreement also extends thru the 2005-06 Laredo Bucks Central Hockey League season.
"Being part of a winning organization is very important to Amigo Broadcasting," said Amigo Broadcasting Operations Manager Ruben Villarreal. "We were very eager to further our relationship with both the Bucks and the Law. The Bucks have had a tremendous impact in Laredo and we expect that the Law will have the same."
With the Bucks in the playoffs there may be nights when both the Bucks and the Law are playing. Amigo Broadcasting houses three stations, 94.9 FM, 106.1 FM Radio KNEXT and Laredo News Talk 1490 AM KLNT.
"On evening's when the two teams overlap we will move the Law to 106.1," continued Villarreal. "This allows us to keep a quality signal and take care of both teams."
The deal also includes a weekly coaches show on 1490 AM KLNT for the Bucks and Law.
Bucks Weekly currently airs at 6 p.m. on Monday. The Law show time will be announced.
Joe Dominey, who presently serves as the play-by-play voice of the Bucks, will also handle the radio duties for the Law.
LAW FAN FEST
This Sunday afternoon the new Laredo arenafootball2 team will be on display at the Laredo Law Fan Fest at the Laredo Entertainment Center from 2-6 p.m. This is your chance to meet the players and coaches and even get onto the turf itself at the LEC. Best of all the Laredo Law Fan Fest is free to the public. Players and coaches will be signing autographs and meeting with the fans. It's the perfect chance for fans to meet the team and then walk around the LEC and choose where they want to get their season tickets. Laredo Law season ticket packages start as low as $80 for eight fast, hard hitting, explosive home games running from April thru July. Call (956)-726-GAME (4263) for more information.
