Lavoie Pitches a Complete Game, But Suns Lose to Brockton 3-10

The Pittsfield Suns fell the the Brockton Rox Monday by a score of 3-1. The game was delayed 1:45 due to the Brockton team bus breaking down on its way to Pittsfield. The long delay led to the decision to limit the game to seven innings. The Suns were led by a solid pitching performance by Christian Lavoie. Lavoie pitched a complete game and struck out 8 in 7 innings of work. Unfortunately, the offense was unable to muster more than a single run agains the Rox and ultimately lost the game.

The Suns lone run came on a fourth inning RBI double off of the bat of Kyle Singleton. The Suns left 6 men on base in the game and we just unable to come through with the hits necessary to win the game.

The Suns return to Wahconah Park on Thursday to face the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs.
