LaToya Thomas suffers torn labrum in right shoulder

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Silver Stars forward LaToya Thomas suffered a torn posterior glenoid labrum in her right shoulder in last Saturday's game against the Connecticut Sun with 1:18 left in the first half.

An MRI on Monday revealed the extent of the injury. Thomas will meet with team doctors on Wednesday to determine whether or not surgery is needed. She is expected to miss the remainder of the season.

For the season, Thomas has started all nine games, averaging 12.4 points and 4.4 rebounds in 30.7 minutes per game.

The Silver Stars are back in action on June 15 when they make the trip to Phoenix to take on the Mercury. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:30 CT.
