
Late Power Surge Boosts Mississauga to Victory

(Saint John, NB -) The Mississauga Power continued the weekend in the east coast today, as the team was in Saint John to face off against the Mill Rats. Dwight McCombs scored a career high 26 points and added 12 rebounds with 5 blocks for the Power as the team improved to 4-7 with a 98-95 win.
The two teams played evenly in the first half, exchanging leads throughout. Saint John headed to the half with a 51-48 lead. The second half was much of the same story, as both teams continued to exchange leads. The game came down to free throw shooting, with both teams struggling from the line. The Mill Rats shot 51% from the charity stripe while the Power were only slightly better at 53%. The Power built up a 7 point lead late in the fourth quarter and hung on for the 98-95 win. Morgan Lewis grabbed a career high 14 rebounds while Alex "Superman" Johnson contributed 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the Power. The Mill Rats were led by Tyrone Levett who had 20 points and 7 rebounds.
