Last week St. Louis was awarded a Major League Soccer expansion franchise, the XFL revealed the names for all eight teams and Vancouver Whitecaps goalkeeper Maxime Crepeau set a MLS record for most saves in a game with 16. Highlights from this week are from the Canadian Football League, XFL, Major League Soccer, National Women's Soccer League Canadian Premier League, California League, Pacific Coast League and the Big3.
FOOTBALL
XFL
The XFL revealed the names and logos of the league's eight inaugural teams: DC Defenders, Dallas Renegades, Houston Roughnecks, Los Angeles Wildcats, New York Guardians, St. Louis BattleHawks, Seattle Dragons and Tampa Bay Vipers.

Canadian Football League

Indoor Football League
The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to announce the addition and partnership of the league's newest team, the Duke City Gladiators. The 2018 and 2019 CIF champions will compete as new members in the IFL's 2020 season. The team will compete in the Tingley Coliseum.

SOCCER
Major League Soccer
Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber officially announced that MLS has awarded an expansion team to the city of St. Louis. The team will begin MLS play in 2022 in a new soccer stadium located in the Downtown West district of St. Louis. The owners of the St. Louis club include Enterprise Holdings Foundation president Carolyn Kindle Betz and six other female members of the Taylor family, making it the first female majority-owned club in MLS history, and one of few in professional sports.
Colorado Rapids Soccer Club announced that the club has appointed Robin Fraser as the ninth permanent head coach in club history. Fraser, 52, joins the Colorado Rapids with extensive experience in Major League Soccer both as a player and a coach.
Vancouver Whitecaps Maxime Crepeau set a record for most saves in a MLS game with 16.

HOCKEY
American Hockey League
The Columbus Blue Jackets and Cleveland Monsters announced a multi-year affiliation agreement extension of their current National Hockey League and American Hockey League affiliation partnership.
Ontario Hockey League
The Hamilton Bulldogs have announced Vince Laise as head coach. Laise, 36, a native of Brampton, has been in the role of associate coach to the Bulldogs since 2016 and helped lead the team to winning the OHL J. Ross Robertson Cup in 2018.
BASKETBALL
NBA G League
The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, has named Derrick Alston as the team's new head coach. Elevated from assistant coach, Alston becomes the fourth head coach in team history and succeeds Mike Miller who recently joined the New York Knicks coaching staff. Alston spent the last four seasons as an assistant for Westchester helping guide the franchise to a 108-92 (.540) record.
Women's National Basketball Association
Rookie of the Year candidate Arike Ogunbowale set the franchise record for 20-point games with her thirteenth 20-point game of the season in the Dallas Wings (9-20) 77-73 loss to the Atlanta Dream (7-22).

Triplets Joe Johnson game winning three point shot to send them to the Big3 Championship game next week.
OTHER SPORTS
Major League Rugby
Austin Elite Rugby Management is excited to announce that it will be returning to the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex for the 2020 Major League Rugby (MLR) season and will remain in Austin proper.
