"We are excited to be returning to the Round Rock Multipurpose complex in 2020 and reinvigorating family-friendly, sports entertainment events for Central Texas residents," said Richard Osborn, Elite Rugby Management's President. "Our team was very disciplined and dedicated to modeling data for venue locations for the upcoming season and Round Rock Multipurpose Complex was best suited for fan engagement, sponsorship activation and broadcast value."

Rugby in the USA has experienced exponential growth in terms of fan participation, with both the men's and women's National teams reaching new heights in World Rugby rankings . Central Texas is home to Austin Blacks, Austin Huns, Austin Valkyries and San Antonio RFC, all participating in the USA Rugby club competition, with the Austin Blacks winning the Division 3 USA Rugby National Championship. The region is also a hotbed for collegiate, high school and youth rugby.

"Our purpose was reevaluated in the offseason and we have come to understand and respect the need to grow the sport at the grassroots level," said Todd Clever, Director of Rugby. "We believe that our purpose is to be the epicenter of rugby in Central Texas, while fostering grassroots growth and creating high performance pathways for players and our location is core to that purpose."

The 2020 Major League Rugby season kicks off in February and will span seventeen weeks. Season tickets packages will be available online, August 26th at austineliterugby.com. We are committed to creating a vibrant fan experience and due to the limited number of season tickets, we plan to add some creative limited-edition items for our season ticket holders.
