Faka'Osi Pifeleti Reaches 50 Caps

On Saturday, May 21st Faka'Osi Pifeleti became the seventeenth player in Major League Rugby to take the pitch for 50 matches.
Originally born in California, Pifeleti moved with his family to the UK where he attended Oaklands College Hertfordshire. He's the son of Otenili Pifeleti, 'Ikale Tahi (Tonga) # 251 and brother of Kapeli Pifeleti, Eagle #533.
Pifeleti grew up playing rugby and came through the Saracens Academy before signing with the San Diego Legion in the first season of Major League Rugby in 2018. His brother Kapeli would join him in San Diego for the 2019 season as well.
The Austin Gilgronis signed Pifeleti during pre-season, ahead of the 2022 season. He has brought great experience to Austin's front row, having made his Eagles debut against the New Zealand all black this past October. Pifeleti has four career tries in MLR to date.
Major League Rugby is honoring the first 50 players to reach 50 caps, and their role in building the legacy of MLR. The latest of the first seventeen players to reach 50 caps for MLR includes Ben Mitchell of San Diego Legion, JP Smith of the Seattle Seawolves and John Ryberg of the LA Giltinis.
