Charlotte Eagles Summer Camps are underway and we are spotlighting the Siskey YMCA Camp this week!
The camp will run July 29 - Aug 2 even if you haven't signed up yet there is still time.
All Eagles camps are run by the players, this week we are highlighting Fejiro Okiomah, Stefan "Tommy" Smith and Sergio Villasenor!
Fejiro Okiomah is a native of Austin, Texas. He played his collegiate soccer at High Point University. While in college he also palyed for USL PDL team the Carolina Dynamo. Okiomah is in his rookie season with the Eagles after being signed by the club in April of 2013. Fejiro has played in every match for the Eagles so far this season and has registered one assist.
Stefan Smith is an Antiguan soccer player. Smith began his career in 2008 playing for Old Road FC in the Antigua and Barbuda Premier Division. He was the top scorer in the league in his debut season in 2008-09, scoring 17 goals, and helping the team finish as runner-up to Bassa in 2009-10. In 2011 Smith transferred to the new Antigua Barracuda FC team prior to its first season in the USL Professional Division. He made his debut for the Barracudas on April 17, 2011 in the team's first ever competitive game, a 2-1 loss to the Los Angeles Blues. Smith has made 14 appearances with the Antigua and Barbuda national team. So far this season Tommy has scored two goals and recorded one assist.
Sergio Villasenor was born on March 12, 1987 in Guadalajara, Mexico. He began his professional career playing for the Delfines de Los Cabos in 2008. During his tenure with Delfines he was loaned to Oro. He played for Indios from 2009-1012. After Indios, Villasenor set his sights on the US. He joined the El Paso Patriots of the USL PDL in 2012. After 15 appearances with the team he joined the Charlotte Eagles. Sergio has scored two goals and one assist in the 2013 USL PRO Season.
