Laredo Bucks News Release
LAREDO, Texas â The Laredo Bucks took two of three games over the weekend in their longest road trip of the season to date as they moved into a second place tie in the SE Division with 17 points. On Thursday the Bucks dropped a 2-1 decision in Lubbock. Friday night the Bucks rebound with a 4-0 shutout at San Angelo. Saturday the Bucks finished off the road trip with a 5-3 win in Odessa. Laredo is at home this Friday against San Angelo and Saturday against Fort Worth. Face off both nights set for 7:30 p.m. at the LEC. TOY DRIVE FRIDAY BENEFITING DOCTORS HOSPITAL
· The Laredo Bucks, in conjunction with Starbucks, will be hosting a Toy Drive this Friday night when the Bucks battle the San Angelo Saints. Fans are encouraged to bring gift wrapped toys to the game, which will be collected and donated to children at Doctors Hospital. When someone donates a wrapped gift they will receive a raffle ticket. Fans can donate more than one gift wrapped toy and receive multiple raffle tickets. Raffle winners will be selected in a drawing and will be announced over the public address at the Bucks game on Friday. The grand prize is a Barista Espresso Maker and five pounds of Starbucks coffee. The total grand prize package is valued at over $500 dollars. Other prizes include an autographed Bucks jersey and more.
FRIDAY & SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL
· The Bucks will give away Thunderstixs to the first 2,500 fans thru the doors on both Friday and Saturday night. The Thunderstixs are presented by the Laredo Bucks Booster Club.

· Laredo is home this Friday against San Angelo and Saturday against Fort Worth. Face off both nights set for 7:30 p.m. at the LEC.

BUCKS VERSUS UPCOMING OPPONENTS
SAN ANGELO SAINTS · This is the fourth and final meeting this year between the teams. The Saints beat the Bucks 4-1 in San Angelo on 10/22 as goalie Scott Reid stopped 27 of 28 shots. On 10/30 the Saints beat the Bucks 1-0 at the LEC as Reid stopped all 39 shots. It was the first time the Bucks had ever been shutout at home. Last Friday night the Bucks returned the favor and blanked the Saints 4-0 in San Angelo as Jeremy Symington stopped 37 shots.
2003-04: The Bucks were 5-0-1 last year against the Saints outscoring them 27-16 overall. Laredo was 2-0-1 in San Angelo. The Bucks are 10-4-3 all time against the Saints and 5-1-1 in Laredo.
FORT WORTH BRAHMAS · This is the first of two meetings this year between the teams and the Brahmas only visit to the LEC.
2003-04: The Bucks were 3-0-0 last year against the Brahmas, including 1-0-0 at the LEC against Fort Worth. All-time the Bucks are 7-0-1 against Fort Worth, outscoring the Brahmas 32-20.
WHITEWASH RETURNED
· Laredo goalie Jeremy Symington stopped all 37 shots he faced last Friday night in San Angelo to record the Bucks first shutout of the year. In the Bucks pervious match up with the Saints, Scott Reid shutout the Bucks 1-0 on 39 saves on 10/30.
NASTY GAME
· The Bucks and the Saints engaged in five fights last Friday night in the Bucks 4-0 shutout win. The Bucks season high was six fighting majors on 11/20 against Memphis.
THE ROAD GOT A LITTLE EASIER
· The Bucks lost Thursday in Lubbock 2-1. It was the Bucks franchise record fifth straight road loss. Friday and Saturday the Bucks emerged with road wins, 4-0 over San Angelo and 5-3 over Odessa. This is the first time this season Laredo has won consecutive games away from the LEC. The Bucks are now 3-6-0 on the road.
HOME SWEET HOME
· After completing their longest road trip of the season to date, three consecutive away games last weekend, the Bucks return to the LEC for four straight home games beginning this weekend.
MAGIC MARK
· Laredo is 8-1-0 when they score four goals or more. They reached the plateau twice on the road this past weekend.
LONG TIME COMING
· After going five straight games without one, the Bucks tallied a power play goal last Saturday against the Odessa Jackalopes in a 5-3 win. Overall the Bucks are two for their last 38 on the man advantage. The Bucks are last in the CHL with just six total power play goals.
NO PRESSURE FELLAS, BUT...
· Laredo is 6-1-0 this year in games that either forwards Jeff Bes or Brent Cullaton score a goal. The only loss came last Thursday night when Bes scored the only goal in a 2-1 loss at Lubbock. When Bes and Cullaton are shutout, the Bucks are 2-8-1.
CALLUPS
· Laredo forward Brent Cullaton has been called up to the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL. Cullaton played on Tuesday night in the Rampage's 5-0 loss to Chicago. Bucks forward Chris Nielsen is also on call up to San Antonio.
BUCKS PENALTY KILL âEN FUEGO'
· Over the last 11 games Laredo has stopped 60 of the last 64 (93.75 %) opposition power play chances.

· 12/04/04 â SATURDAY â The defending CHL Champion Laredo Bucks gutted out a 5-3 road win over the Odessa Jackalopes on Saturday night to complete a three game road trip. With their second straight road win the Bucks pulled into a second place tie in the SE Division with Austin and are now 8-9-1 with 17 points. Jeremy Symington won his second straight start by stopping 32 of 34 shots to improve to 4-3-0. Gorman allowed four goals on 28 shots and is now 7-6-2. The Bucks were 1-3 on the power play, getting their first goal since November 20th on the man advantage. Odessa was 0-8 on the power play. The Bucks have stopped 60 of the last 64 opposition power play chances.

· 12/03/04 â FRIDAY â The defending CHL Champion Laredo Bucks blanked the San Angelo Saints 4-0 to break a franchise record five game road losing streak. Bucks goalie Jeremy Symington stopped all 37 shots he saw to record his first shutout of the year. Symington recorded the first shutout of the year by the team to improve to 3-3-0. Scott Reid played forty minutes and allowed four goals on 20 shots to fall to 10-4-1 before being pulled. Scott Murray finished up in net by stopping all 10 shots he faced.

· 12/02/04 â THURSDAY â The defending CHL Champion Laredo Bucks were defeated 2-1 by the Lubbock Cotton Kings on Thursday night as they began a three game road trip. Former Bucks goalie Lance Leslie beat the Bucks by stopping 28 of 29 shots. The Bucks have lost a franchise record five straight road games and are 6-9-1 with 13 points in third place in the SE Division. Leslie allowed just one goal to get the win and improve to 6-4-0. Guerrera allowed two goals on 27 shots and took the hard luck loss to fall to 4-6-1.
