Lanier not returning for 2010

Hal Lanier, who has spent the past two seasons as the skipper of the Skyhawks, will not be returning for the 2010 season.
Prior to joining the Skyhawks organization in 2008, Lanier managed the Joliet Jackhammers of the Northern League. During Lanier's run as manager of the Skyhawks, he complied an overall record of 96-99.
In Lanier's first season with the Skyhawks, he led the team to the Can-Am League championship.
Also the Skyhawks have exercised the 2010 option on the following players: RHP Carter Clements, RHP Stephen Fox, RHP Greg Lane, RHP Sandy Nin, RHP Kyle Ruwe, RHP Mike Schellinger, RHP Tim Stringer, C Ray Serrano, INF Jeremy Hunt, INF John Urick, OF Maikel Jova and OF Jorge Moreno.
The Skyhawks released LHP Ed Campusano, LHP Alex Smith, C Ryan Boelsen, INF Jesse Fuller, OF Ryan Crespi and OF Ron Perodin.
*INF Chris Brown, LHP Roger Lincoln, INF Mark Pappas played out their options in 2009 and are free agents.*
