Omaha Lancers News Release
Kearney, NE -- The Omaha Lancers traveled to the Viaero Wireless Centre to face the Tri-City Storm for the third time of the regular season on Friday.
In the first period, Joey Cipollone got things going for Tri-City as he snuck the puck past a sprawled out Zach Driscoll.
Ronnie Attard scored in the opening minute of the second period to put the Storm ahead 2-0. Near the end of the second period, Tyler Carpenter got Omaha on the board. The play started when Joe Berg took the puck into the zone and found Carpenter who beat Filip Larsson with the shot.
Tri-City kept on the attack though during the third period. Eight minutes in Adam Goodsir was wide open to redirected the puck past Driscoll. Then with seventeen seconds left, Nate Clurman broke past the defense to score a breakaway goal on an empty net.
