Lance Hartman Joins Griffins' Staff

Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Wednesday announced the hiring of Lance Hartman as the team's director of corporate sales, effective Aug. 26. In this position, Hartman will oversee all facets of the Griffins' corporate sales efforts, including the servicing of existing sponsorship accounts and the prospecting and acquisition of new corporate partners.

The 34-year-old native of Medina, Ohio, recently served as executive director of the Farmers Charity Classic, a PGA Champions Tour golf tournament held in Grand Rapids. Hartman, who earned a journalism degree from Ohio University in 1991, worked for the PGA Tour from 1995-2002. He served as executive director of the 2002 World Golf Championships-NEC Invitational in Seattle and tournament manager of The Presidents Cup Matches in 2000 outside Washington, D.C., and held various sales and operations positions with the Ford Senior Players Championship in Detroit from 1995-98.
