Burlington, VT - The Worcester Bravehearts fall to the Vermont Lake Monsters 5-3 at Centennial field . The Vermont Lake Monsters as they extend their win streak to 12 games.
The Lake Monsters struck first in the 3rd Inning, scoring 2 unearned runs. The Bravehearts responded with Kenny Mallory Jr. (Vanderbilt) adding a RBI double in the 4th. Vermont didn't look back from their lead adding 3 runs in the 6th from a 3 RBI double by Colchester, VT native Tom Vesosky (Southern Maine).
Highlighting the Bravehearts tonight were starting pitcher Jack Choate (Assumption) with a final line of 5IP, 2H, 0 ER, 3BB, 9K. Shortstop Randy Flores (Franklin Pierce) went 3-5 RBI, run scored, BB.
Worcester moves to 21-19 and the Lake Monsters fall to 24-18. The Bravehearts return to Centennial Field tomorrow to complete the weekend series with the Vermont Lake Monsters at 5PM.
