The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) looks to remain unbeaten at home in 2022 as they host Minnesota United at Banc of California Stadium on Sunday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m. PT. (TV: FS1 / FOX Deportes; Radio: 710 AM ESPN/ESPN 710 app and 980 AM La Mera La Mera)
LAFC is 6-1-1 (19 points) this season after defeating FC Cincinnati 2-1 on April 24 at TQL Stadium.
NEWS & NOTES:
Carlos Vela has registered 99 combined goals (61) and assists (38) in 95 career MLS regular season games since 2018.
If Vela scores or assists Sunday vs. Minnesota, he will equalize Sebastian Giovinco's record for the fastest player in MLS history to record 100 combined goals and assists.
LAFC face Minnesota United for the first time in 2022....Minnesota leads the series 2-1-3 (W-L-T).
Cristian Arango made his 25th career MLS regular season appearance on April 24, 2022. Arango has 16 goals and three assists in his 25 appearances.
LAFC has not allowed a goal in the second half of a game this season.
LAFC substitutes have come on to score a league-high six goals in 2022.
