
Lady Horizon extend winning streak

HARRISBURG- April 10, 2004... The Harrisburg Lady Horizon extended their winning streak to four games Saturday with a 76-71 win over the Philadelphia Lady Power.
Guard Hilary Waltman led Harrisburg with 25 points and 4 steals. Forward Carla Vicidomini contributed 12 points and Audrey Codner added 10 points off the bench.
Philadelphia guard Christina Sullivan scored a team-high 19 points in a losing effort. Guard Iesha Smith finished with 16 points.
There were eight lead changes in the first half. Harrisburg took a 41-35 halftime lead thanks to a 14-4 run which saw Waltman take a bounce pass from guard Amy Macdonald for an easy layup. MacDonald finished with 11 points and 8 assists. Vicidomini left the game with a knee injury five minutes into the second half. Codner replaced her and scored 8 points the rest of the way.
Philadelphia tied the score 59-59 with eight minutes remaining but was unable to take the lead in the second half. Harrisburg pulled ahead as Waltman added two more layups and put back a missed shot from April Longo. A three-point basket from forward Sasha Leverentz with 1:12 remaining sealed the victory for Harrisburg.
The Lady Horizon are now 4-1 for the season and look to continue their winning streak next Saturday at home against Brooklyn.
