LA Riptide Release Event Schedule for Home Game on Saturday

CARSON, CALIFORNIA - Thursday, July 12, 2007 - The Los Angeles Riptide of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) today announced the event schedule for their fourth home game of the 2007 season against the Western Conference rival Denver Outlaws, set for Saturday, July 14 at 5 p.m. at the Track & Field Complex at The Home Depot Center.
As part of Saturday's festivities, the Riptide will celebrate Beachworks Beach Night with an appearance from the beach band Crosswinds, a chance to surf without water on the inflatable wave surfing simulator, several beach games, and beach towel and beach ball giveaways. The Riptide will also host a post-game party at Hennessey's Tavern in Manhattan Beach.
Saturday's game will be the first ever Beachworks Beach Night, featuring Crosswinds, a steel drum beach band. Crosswinds will play beach music, including Jimmy Buffet and Beach Boys classics, for the hour leading up to the start of Saturday's game. They will keep the beach party going at halftime with a second performance for all in attendance.
At Saturday's game fans will have the chance to test their California surfing skills on a mechanical surfboard atop a giant inflatable wave.
Several beach games will be a part of Saturday's festivities. Fans who wear a Hawaiian shirt or beach attire will have a chance to win great Riptide prizes.
The first 2,000 fans in attendance at Saturday's game will receive a Riptide beach towel.
Upon exit from the stadium after Saturday's game, fans will receive a Beachworks/Riptide beach ball.
Following Saturday's game, fans are invited to meet their favorite members of the Riptide at Hennessey's Tavern in Manhattan Beach (313 Manhattan Beach Blvd., 310-546-4813) during the team's post-game party. Children accompanied by a parent/guardian are welcome to attend the event.

About the L.A. Riptide
