LA Galaxy to Host Second Annual LA Galaxy 5k and Cozmo Family Fun Run

CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014) - The LA Galaxy Foundation will host the LA Galaxy 5k and Cozmo Family Fun Run presented by Alaska Airlines at StubHub Center on Sunday, August 24. Join LA Galaxy alumni, coaches, players, and staff for the second annual LA Galaxy 5k and Cozmo Family Fun Run presented by Alaska Airlines as the race course will take twists and turns through the StubHub Center campus. Male and female first place finishers will receive two round trip Alaska Airlines ticket vouchers and an LA Galaxy team signed jersey. All participants will receive a goodie bag compliments of Herbalife, the official race partner.

Registration is $40 and it includes a race entry, ticket to a Galaxy game (Saturday, August 23 vs. Vancouver Whitecaps or Wednesday, August 27 vs. D.C. United) and admission to the LA Galaxy II vs. Wilmington Hammerheads on Sunday, August 24 at 12:00 p.m. PT. The first 1,000 entries will receive a t-shirt and a race medal. All of the proceeds from the run will benefit the LA Galaxy Foundation. To register, please visit http://www.lagalaxy.com/5k.

The Cozmo Family Fun Run starts at 10:15 a.m.PT and is free of charge to all guests 12 years and younger with an adult 5K registration. Free parking will be available for race participants in Lot 10. Race check-in will be at the Southwest box office.

The LA Galaxy 5k and Cozmo Family Fun Run will be followed by a USL PRO regular season showdown as the LA Galaxy II take on the Wilmington Hammerheads at StubHub Center's Track and Field Stadium at 12:00 p.m. PT.
