LOS ANGELES - Following a 1-0 shutout win over Seattle Sounders FC at Dignity Health Sports Park on March 30, the unbeaten LA Galaxy square off against LAFC in the 22nd edition across all competitions of El Tráfico at BMO Stadium on Saturday, April 6 (4:30 p.m. PT, Free on MLS Season Pass, FOX, FOX Deportes).
Saturday's match between the LA Galaxy and LAFC marks the 22nd edition across all competitions of El Tráfico, with the Galaxy leading the all-time series 9-7-5 (46 GF, 45 GA). Against LAFC, the LA Galaxy hold a 7-5-5 (36 GF, 36 GA) record in league play, a 0-2-0 (5 GF, 8 GA) record in the MLS Cup Playoffs and a 2-0-0 (5 GF, 1 GA) record in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. In four meetings across all competitions between the two teams during the 2023 campaign, the series was tied 2-2-0 (8 GF, 8 GA). In 10 all-time road matches played against LAFC across all competitions at BMO Stadium, the LA Galaxy hold a 2-5-3 record (21 GF, 25 GA). In the last meeting at BMO Stadium, the Galaxy fell 4-2 to LAFC on Sept. 16, 2023. In 21 all-time meetings across all competitions between the LA Galaxy and LAFC, El Tráfico averages 4.3 goals per match.
LA extended its unbeaten run to six matches (3-0-3, 13 GA, 9 GA) to begin the 2024 MLS Regular Season following the 1-0 win over Seattle on March 30. The 12 points earned through the first six games to begin the season for LA ranks as the sixth best start in the team's 29-year history in MLS. Notably, the Galaxy sit in first place in the Supporters' Shield standings during the 2024 campaign.
