LOS ANGELES (Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021) - In Week 24 of the 2021 USL Championship campaign, LA Galaxy fell 3-0 to San Diego Loyal SC at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday night.

LA Galaxy II Run Of Form

The loss to San Diego snapped Los Dos' three-match match winning streak. Despite the result, LA Galaxy II (9-12-5, 32 points) remain ifourth place in the Pacific Division, five points behind third-place Orange County SC (10-9-7, 37 points) and level on points with fifth-place Sacramento Republic (8-10-8, 32 points). The top four teams from each division in the regular season will advance into a regionalized single-elimination bracket for the playoffs. In its last eight matches played dating back to Aug. 27, LA holds a 4-3-1 record.

Goal-Scoring Plays

SD - Josh Yaro (Augustine Williams), 25th minute: Augustine Williams pounced on a loose ball inside the box and delivered a pass across the face of goal to Josh Yaro, who converted from close range.

SD - Elijah Martin, 41st minute: After a scramble in the box, Elijah Martin was first to the ball and fired a left-footed shot that squeezed just inside the bottom left corner of the goal.

SD - Charlie Adams (penalty kick), 82nd minute: Following a penalty inside the box, Charlie Adams rolled his penalty attempt into the bottom right hand corner of the net.
