LOS ANGELES - Playing in their 2022 home opener at Dignity Health Sports Park, LA Galaxy II fell 2-1 to San Antonio FC on Saturday night. Carlos Harvey tallied his first goal of the season for Galaxy II, while Daniel Aguirre registered an assist for a second consecutive match in the loss to San Antonio.
Goal-Scoring Plays
SA - David Loera (Shannon Gomez), 10th minute: Shannon Gomez delivered a cross in transition to David Loera, who chested down the inside the penalty area and flicked his volleyed shot into the far corner of the net.
LA - Carlos Harvey (Daniel Aguirre), 30th minute: Daniel Aguirre's corner-kick service into the box found Carlos Harvey, whose right-footed volley found the bottom left corner of the net.
SA - Mitchell Taintor (Mohammed Abu), 53rd minute: Mohammed Abu's driven pass from an indirect free kick picked out Mitchell Taintor, who headed the ball off the crossbar and into the goal.
