
L.A. Avengers to Hold Kickoff Party 2004

The Los Angeles Avengers will hold their annual "KICKOFF PARTY" tomorrow (Jan. 24) at the team's training facility at West L.A. College in Culver City. After the Avengers practice and scrimmage, they will meet-n-greet fans and sign autographs. Lunch will be provided by Carl's Jr. (free of charge for season ticket holders and members of the media). The event is open to the public and provides a wonderful opportunity to gather footage of professional athletes mingling with fans and also interview local football fanatics on a variety of subjects, including the Avengers, Super Bowl XXXVIII and the NFL's future in Los Angeles.
WHO:
Avenger head coach Ed Hodgkiss and his entire squad of ArenaBowl championship contenders, owner Casey Wasserman, the "A-Team" dancers and team mascot "T.D." will be joined by 1,500 Avenger fans for an afternoon of football and fun.

NOTE:
The Avengers kick off their fifth season of play in the 18-year-old Arena Football League on Sunday, Feb. 8, against the Arizona Rattlers in Phoenix. The Avengers will play their 2004 home opener on Sunday, Feb. 22, at STAPLES Center versus the San Jose SaberCats. Both games kick off at noon and will be televised on NBC.
