Burlington Bees News Release
Burlington, IA (November 4, 2008) - Bees infielder Kyle Martin ('08) continues to show off his power for the North Shore Honu of the Hawaiian Winter League. Martin added two more home runs this past week, giving him six on the season to lead the league. No one else in the league has more than three home runs. Martin also ranks 2nd in the league with a .588 slugging percentage, and ranks 4th in RBI with 19.
Fellow teammate, RHP Jason Godin ('07), has started six games so far for the Honu with a 2-1 record and 4.98 ERA. After a slow start, North Shore has won 6 of their last 10 games and is only one game out of first place.
In the Arizona Fall League, RHP Chris Hayes ('06-07) has pitched well lately for the Surprise Rafters. In his last five appearances, Hayes has pitched 7.0 innings, allowing just two earned runs and striking out five batters. Fans can log onto http://aflroyals.mlblogs.com/ to see former Bees like Joe Dickerson ('07), Chris McConnell ('06-07), and Brian McFall ('04-05) write about their experiences in the AFL.

Playing in the Dominican League, Ka'aihue has gone 3-for-6 at the plate in his last three games with two doubles, 3 RBI and five walks. In the Venezuelan League, OF Jose Duarte ('06) had a solid last week going 4-for-12 with a double and 4 RBI.
