
Komets Take Yet Another Overtime Game 3-2

(Toledo, OH) Martin Frk tied the game with just 18.6 seconds left in regulation and Neil Conway picked up 53 saves but Fort Wayne took the game 3-2 in double overtime. The series is tied at three games apiece with Game Seven Wednesday night in Toledo.
Goaltender Neil Conway stopped all 11 shots he faced in the first period, leading to a scoreless game through one. The Komets collected a power play goal five minutes into the second period. Toledo tied the game at 16:23 of the second period as Justin Daniels fed a pass in front of the Komets net and Josh Holmstrom deflected the puck in for his first playoff goal.
Fort Wayne jumped ahead in the third period when Mike Embach beat Conway at 7:50. Martin Frk (3rd) wristed a shot into the back of the net with just 18.6 seconds left to send the game to overtime. The Komets out shot Toledo 15-9 in the first overtime with neither team scoring.
Brett Perlini was able to score the game-winner for Fort Wayne at 5:26 of double overtime when slipped the puck behind Neil Conway.
Walleye Notes: Goaltender Neil Conway stopped 53 of the 56 shots he faced in the contest and has a record of 1-1 in the playoffs. Counting the regular season, six of the seven meetings played in Fort Wayne went past regulation. This was the longest game played in Toledo Walleye history beating the previous best on April 12, 2013 which lasted 1:24 into the second overtime. All Three of Fort Wayne's wins in this series have been in overtime.
