
Komets release three from preseason roster

Fort Wayne, IN - The Komets announced Monday that three players have been waived from training camp. Goaltender Tyler Sims, defenseman Rich Zalewski and forward Toby Lafrance have been released.
Tyler Sims, son of Komet head coach Al Sims, appeared in two exhibition games registering a 1-0-0 record, 4.59 goals-against average and .872 save percentage.
Zalewski had no points in one preaseason game while Lafrance played in all three preseason games registering no points and 17 penalty minutes.
The Komet preseason roster is trimmed to 23 players with the season opener slated for this Friday, Oct. 16 at Dayton at 7:30pm. Fort Wayne's home opener is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23 against the Bloomington PrairieThunder at 8pm.
Tickets for Komet home games are on sale at the Coliseum Ticket Office and online at www.ticketmaster.com. The Komets offer discounts on group tickets sold at the Komet office at 1010 Memorial Way. Single game ticket prices for 2009-10 will remain the same as last season, ranging from $8.00 to $20.00 for seniors and adults and starting at $6.00 for children.
