Omaha Lancers News Release
RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers regained forward Cole Codsi off of waivers on Friday morning.
Kodsi, who was traded to the Madison in the deal for Christian Berger, played in three regular-season games last week with the Capitols. The Boca Raton, FL native spent most of last season with the Lancers and was a vital part of the team's line of Logan Will and Brian Silver. Kodsi recorded 10 points in 53 games with the Lancers last year. Cole is committed to Michigan State University.
"He [Cole] was a big part of the team last year," General Manager and Head Coach David Wilkie said. "He does things right on and off of the ice and is a tremendous character player. Never in my wildest dreams did I think he would available to come back to Omaha, none the less we are extremely glad he is here with us."
Cole will be in tonight's lineup against the Tri-City Storm and will be wearing his number from last year, 71. Puck drop at the Viaero Center is set for 7:05 pm. All the action can be heard on KOIL News Talk 1290 AM and seen on HockeyTV.
The Lancers have also assigned Cam Recchi to the Maryland Black Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL).
