
Force Names Pavel Team Captain

FARGO, ND - The Fargo Force announced today that forward Ondrej Pavel has been named team captain.
The Praha, CZE native is no stranger to the Force, as he is a returner from the 2018-19 season. Last season he skated in 58 games where he scored 13 points (4g, 9a), while tacking on 71 penalty minutes.
While Fargo's playoffs were cut short last season, Pavel managed to score two goals in the two-game playoff run.
Prior to the Force he was a member of the 2017-18 Minot Minotauros squad. He accumulated 18 points (8g, 10a) and 68 penalty minutes that season in Minot. He also suited up for 8 games with the Czech Republic U18 team.
On the current season, he has two points (1g, 1a). Pavel is committed to Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Forwards Kaden Bohlsen, Lynden Breen and Aaron Grounds, along with defenseman Cedric Fielder, have all been named assistant captains.
Kaden Bohlsen is a Force returner. Last season he started in Des Moines, where he skated in 25 games with the Bucs. There he tallied six goals and seven assists along with 41 penalty minutes. He was traded to Fargo mid-season where he saw action in 30 matchups adding six points (5g, 1a). Thus far he has posted one assist on the season. Bohlsen is committed to the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
Lynden Breen was acquired in the USHL Dispersal Draft from the Central Illinois Flying Aces, in which he was the first overall selection. With the Flying Aces, he skated in 61 games scoring 37 points (12g, 9a) and adding 34 penalty minutes. Breen has one goal in two games this season. The Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, CAN native is committed to the University of Maine.
Aaron Grounds, a White Bear Lake, MN native, started his junior career in the NAHL with the Minot Minotauros in the 2017-18 season. He was quickly brought up to the USHL that year spending time in both Omaha and Sioux City. Last season he suited up with the Musketeers for 47 games. He tallied six goals and six assists and racked up 62 penalty minutes.
Cedric Fiedler returns from the Force's 2018-19 season. The Swedish defenseman skated in 44 games last season where he had 7 points (2g, 5a). Fiedler has one goal so far this season. He is committed to Western Michigan University.
The Force are 1-0-1 following season opener at the 2019 DICK'S Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic. The team heads to Des Moines, IA this weekend for one matchup against the Buccaneers on Sat., Oct. 5. Puck drop is set for 6:05PM in Des Moines.
