Key Transactions

Australian international Chloe Logarzo made her first appearance for Kansas City in the club's most recent match at the Portland Thorns. After a brief stint in Europe with Bristol City, Logarzo returned stateside and signed with Kansas City in January of this year. While in her first season with the expansion side, Logarzo is no stranger to the NWSL, having played for the Washington Spirit in 2019, earning 15 appearances and tallying a goal.

Recent Form

Kansas City comes into the midweek following a 1-0 loss to the Portland Thorns at Providence Park on Sunday. The expansion side was shut out for the fifth time on the year, with Simone Charley accounting for the lone finish in the match for Portland.

Who's Hot

Goalkeeper Abby Smith tallied five saves in the club's defeat at Portland this past Sunday, including a denial of Christine Sinclair from the penalty spot to keep the Thorns off the board for the time being. Smith has totaled 12 saves thus far this campaign in three starts for Kansas City.

Head-to-Head

The Pride will face off against Kansas City for the second time within a month, with Orlando taking a 1-0 victory over the expansion side at Exploria Stadium on May 30. A goal from Alex Morgan put Orlando on the board early, the eventual game-winner in the 16th minute, with Courtney Petersen earning her first professional assist on the finish. Orlando tallied five shots on goal in the match to KC's zero, with Ashlyn Harris not having to make a save in her first shutout of the season.

Rasmussen Fun Fact

The Orlando Pride are unbeaten against expansion teams this calendar year. The Pride drew 2-2 against expansion side Racing Louisville in the first game of the Challenge Cup on April 10, followed by their 1-0 victory over Kansas City at Exploria Stadium on May 30.
