Battle Creek Knights News Release


Illegal Motion Dance Team Auditions

Illegal Motion, a professional independent dance team in Battle Creek, is holding auditions for their 2008 dance season this Saturday, January 12th from 6-9 p.m. and Sunday, January 13th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Phil High School Gym in downtown Battle Creek. Those auditioning must be present on both days. There will be an audition fee of $10.

Women must be 18 years of age or older, team oriented and willing to commit to the team for the season. The team's main commitment for this season is dancing at Battle Creek Knights IBL Professional Basketball home games, held at Kellogg Arena. The dance team may also make special appearances at different events throughout the season. There are limited positions available for the 2008 season.

Anyone interested in auditioning can register by emailing illegalmotiondanceteam@yahoo.com or calling 269-209-5892. If unable to register, walk-ins welcome, although registering is preferred.

Battle Creek Knights Free Agent Camp

The Battle Creek Knights will be hosting a free agent camp, Saturday, February 2nd, and Sunday, February 3rd. This will be the third and final free agent camp before the start of the Knights upcoming 2008 season.

Camp will take place at the Battle Creek Family YMCA, 182 Capital Avenue, NE, in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Schedule for Camp

Saturday, February 2nd

Registration at 10:30 a.m.

Morning Session 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Break 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Afternoon Session 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Sunday, February 3rd

Morning Session 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Cost for the camp is $75 cash early registration. (Before February 1st, 2008) Cost after February 1st is $100.
