Knights Head to Macomb County

Battle Creek Knights News Release


The Battle Creek Knights professional basketball team have two games scheduled, one home and one away, for the upcoming weekend of Friday, April 29th and Saturday, April 30th. Battle Creek Knights are 6-0 entering the fourth week of the International Basketball League schedule. The Knights current scoring leader is Mike Williams, (WMU). Other Battle Creek Knights players averaging in double digit scoring presently are Bobby Madison (WMU), Kenyon Murray (Iowa), Jamal Goodings (Knoxville), and Ben Reed (WMU).

The Knights first opponent on the upcoming weekend is the Macomb County Mustangs on Friday, April 29th, tip off time 7:30 p.m., in Macomb, Michigan. The Macomb County Mustangs are led in scoring by Michael Covington who played college basketball at Oakland University. Currently, Macomb County is 0-4 for the season.

The Knights second opponent on the upcoming weekend is the Grand Rapids Flight on Saturday, April 30th, at the Kellogg Arena, in Battle Creek, Michigan. The Grand Rapids Flight are led in scoring by Mike Dyson who went to Olivet College. At present, Grand Rapids is 5-1 on the season.

The Battle Creek Knights will unveil the name of the team mascot at half time of the Saturday, April 30th, contest vs. Grand Rapids. Tickets are available for the Knights next home game on April 30th, tip off time 7 p.m., by calling the Kellogg Arena box office, across from Full Blast, at 269-965-3308.
