The Battle Creek Knights professional basketball team head on the road Friday, May 20th, and Saturday, May 21st, for a set of games at Detroit and Macomb County. Battle Creek Knights are 11-0 entering the seventh week of the International Basketball League schedule. The Knights current scoring leader is Mike Williams (WMU). Other Battle Creek Knights players averaging in double digit scoring presently is Jamal Gooding (Knoxville), Bobby Madison (WMU), Milo Stovall (Valparaiso University), Eugene Seals (Miami of Ohio), Ben Reed (WMU), and Kenyon Murray (Iowa).
The Knights first opponent on the weekend is the Detroit Pros on Friday, May 20th , in Inkster, Michigan. The Detroit Pros are led in scoring by Aaron Bates with 23 points per game average. Aaron is the 9th overall point scorer in the International Basketball League. Currently, Detroit is 5-5 on the season.
The Knights second opponent on the weekend is the Macomb County Mustangs on Saturday, May 21st, in Macomb, Michigan. The Macomb County Mustangs are led in scoring by Frank Gojacj with a 22.4 points per game average. Frank is the 12th overall point scorer in the IBL. Currently, Macomb County is 0-9 on the season.
The Battle Creek Knights will play one more game on the road at Detroit on Thursday, May 26th, before returning home on Saturday, June 4th vs. the Macomb County Mustangs.
