
Knights Get Three Offensive/Defensive Linemen Back for 2003

MACON, Ga. â The Macon Knights announced today that they have been assigned three Offensive/Defensive Linemen from last year's team. Cory Smith, Jason Perry and Jarrett Jones will all return to the Knights for the 2003 season.
Smith and Perry played in each of the Knights' 18 games last season while Jones played in 16 games.
Smith (6-5, 285, Clark-Atlanta) will begin his fourth season in arenafootball2 and his second with the Knights. Last season, Smith recorded 19 tackles (two for a loss), 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one blocked kick.
Perry (6-1, 290, Morehouse) will enter his third season in arenafootball2 and his second with the Knights. In 2002, Perry recorded 10 tackles (three for a loss), two sacks and one fumble recovery.
Jones (6-3, 297, Valdosta State) will begin his third season with the Macon Knights. Last season Jones recorded 9.5 tackles and two sacks.
The Knights offensive line only allowed 14 sacks last season, ranking fourth in arenafootball2.
