Knights At Home June 4th for Sellout Saturday

The Battle Creek Knights professional basketball team is at home this week for one game, Saturday, June 4th, vs. the Macomb County Mustangs, tip off time 7 p.m., at Kellogg Arena. Battle Creek Knights are 14-0 entering the ninth week of the International Basketball League schedule. The Knights current scoring leader is Mike Williams (WMU). Mike is 13th overall in the IBL in scoring with a 21.4 points per game average. Other Battle Creek Knights players averaging in double digit scoring presently is Jamal Gooding (Knoxville), Bobby Madison (WMU), Milo Stovall (Valparaiso University), Eugene Seals (Miami of Ohio), Ben Reed (WMU), and Kenyon Murray (Iowa).

The Knights only opponent this weekend is the Macomb County Mustangs on Saturday, June 4th. The Macomb County Mustangs are led in scoring by Frank Gojacj with 22 points per game average and Justin Hall with 21 points per game average. Frank is the 11th overall and Justin is the 16th overall scoring leaders in the International Basketball League. Currently, Macomb County is 1-11 on the season.

The Knights players, coaches, and mascot, have or are going to be out in the Southwest Michigan area doing community events i.e.: the Washington Heights Community Ministries youth program fund raiser that takes place tonight at Popeye's Restaurant on East Columbia Avenue, at Hungry Howie's Pizza from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 6th, and at the Cereal City Festival children's area from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June11th.

The Battle Creek Knights have put full season ticket packages on sale for the 2006 IBL regular season. Battle Creek Knights season tickets for 2006 can be reserved with a $10 non- refundable deposit on each seat location. Current Battle Creek Knights season ticket holders will have the first opportunity to renew their same seat locations for the 2006 IBL regular season.
